Casale, alongside Urbas Energy, has partnered with ATOME Energy to embark on a transformative project aimed at converting 120 MW of clean hydroelectric power generated by the Itaipu dam on the Parana River into environmentally friendly fertilizers, specifically Ammonium Nitrate (HDAN) and Calcium Ammonium Nitrate (CAN).
Situated in Villeta, Paraguay, this facility is set to supply not only Paraguay but also the broader South American region’s agricultural and fertilizer markets with sustainable alternatives. Casale, leveraging its state-of-the-art expertise, proven track record, and cutting-edge technologies, is proud to contribute to the realization of this ambitious endeavor.
The project represents a pioneering step towards integrating environmental sustainability into the heart of South America, a region renowned for its abundance of renewable natural resources. By harnessing the power of clean hydroelectric energy to produce essential chemicals, this landmark initiative serves as an encouragement for the advancement of sustainable practices in a resource-rich region.
